Little Comets

Little Comets have gained a reputation for appearing playing their songs round city streets, trains, trams and also university lecture theatres and even supermarket bread aisles to the surprise of the public, and management of said supermarket.

Little Comets are a "four-piece multi-pronged quadrilateral" from Newcastle-upon-Tyne. They play 'kitchen sink indie' music, citing Debussy, Roald Dahl, Ella Fitzgerald and Paul Simon as influences. In early 2009 the band were signed to Columbia Records and are currently recording their debut album in France. In early 2009 they released the single 'One Night in October' through Lucky Number Records, reaching number 3 in the UK independent singles charts. The single was played by Huw Stevens, Zane Lowe and Sara Cox amongst others on BBC Radio 1.

Their first single on Columbia Records, 'Adultery', will be released on October 26th. In the build-up to this release the band will tour the UK as support to Hockey, The Twang and The Noisettes.
